# Monday.com Integration

Give your AVCodex agent the ability to manage boards, items, and updates in Monday.com.

Monday.com is widely used in AV integration shops for project tracking, installation scheduling, and service dispatch. Connecting it lets your agent read and write work items in conversation, so a support interaction can become a tracked task without anyone retyping it.

## [Connect# ](#connect)

1.  Open your app in the builder and go to **Integrations**.
2.  Find **Monday.com** and click **Connect**.
3.  Authorize the requested scopes in the Monday.com consent screen.
4.  Select which boards the agent may access.

Scope the board access deliberately. An agent that can see every board can also surface commercial data (margins, labour rates, client pricing) in a conversation with an end user.

-   Read boards, groups, and items.
-   Create items on a board.
-   Update column values on an item, including status, date, and person columns.
-   Post updates and comments to an item.
-   Search items across permitted boards.

## [Useful patterns for integrators# ](#useful-patterns-for-integrators)

**Support session becomes a service ticket.** When the agent cannot resolve a room issue, it creates an item on the Service board with the room, the symptom, the troubleshooting already attempted, and the session transcript link. The tech arriving on site has the full triage history instead of "the display doesn't work."

**Install punch list from the field.** A commissioning tech talks to the agent from the room and the agent files each deficiency as a separate item with the room number and a photo, rather than a note that gets transcribed later.

**Status lookups without a seat.** Clients often want project status but you don't want to give them a Monday seat. An agent scoped to read-only on a single client's board answers "when is Level 4 scheduled?" without exposing the board itself.

## [Cautions# ](#cautions)

-   **Write access is real.** An agent that can update status columns can also update them wrongly. For client-facing agents, start read-only and add write scopes deliberately.
-   **Column mapping is where this breaks.** Monday boards drift. If your agent writes to a status column that someone renames or restructures, the write silently misses. Revisit the action configuration whenever the board schema changes.
-   **Rate limits.** Monday's API is rate-limited per account. High-volume agents doing per-message lookups can hit it. Cache where you can.
